Venango County is 675 square miles big. The county includes two cities, Oil City and Franklin, nine boroughs, and twenty townships. The population is 57,000. The County was established on March 12, 1800. The County has many festivals and fun gatherings. They have Applefest and Oil Heritage week.
Applefest comes once a year and is usually scheduled for the first weekend of October. Applefest is located in the city of Franklin. There is do much stuff to do there. There is all kinds of foods, crafts, and music. They have a parade and little stands everywhere that you can buy stuff. They also have Oil Heritage Week. That usually occurs at the end of July and it runs Friday through Sunday. They have food, games, fireworks, food, and a parade. You can always have a good time when they are going on.
